BACK STORY. I have been doing some loco building, working on my long term project to have three models of 68619, The J69 that was British Railways, Liverpool St Station Pilot. Each finished in a different coloured livery carried by 68619 between 1948 & 1961, so three cab interiors were required. To address this I have produced cast components to provide a basic interior as would be expected for a layout loco today.

  Now I am not a skilled pattern maker but can fabricate and improvise. So cab components were produced using etchings and castings from other kits in the range and vulcanised moulds made. The white metal castings produced are not the most sophisticated but with a little dressing from a file, are just about right for the cab interior of a layout loco. So even if you are not building a “Buckjumper” they may be a rich source of components for your project loco class.

KIT. The main interior is formed of only five main components for easy assembly. With separate brake handles, etched regulator, fireman and driver. In addition cab gauges and below cab, brake cylinder and reservoir are provided.
